Case studies and hypothetical scenarios to aid learning are included alongside a digital workbook for practice and school nurses to record their progress.
Safeguarding, referral, boundaries of practice, burden of care and ethical and legal responsibilities are some of the subjects covered.
Carers project manager at the Queens Nursing Institute (QNI), Jennie Whitford, said community nurse and carers can help improve patient condition management and ease the burden of care on carers through effective working.
“These are essential skills for community nurses, who have a vital role to play in supporting the six million carers in the UK.”
